Hi, my fiancee is an American citizen, and he have applied for a K1 fiancee visa for me to join him in the United States so that we can get married. We know that the processing centre had received our paperwork (I29-F) yet we still don’t have a receipt number. We called them and they have not told us anything.
They said that we must have to have a receipt number to check the status of the K1 Fiancee Visa.

Has the check for the filing fee ever been presented for payment? See if you have a record that the check had been presented. You might just be able to obtain a receipt number through that. If it has been more than a year, why are you wondering only now about it? The receipt notice should normally have arrived within 1-2 weeks from the date of your filing for the K1 fiancee visa.
